Break Forth, O Beauteous Heavenly Light
1. Practice: Clear preparatory beats following each fermata. Breathe with each pick up.
2. Keep hands moving (spatial exercise) at fermatas.
3. Practice a variety of cut off techniques.
4. Solfege each part S, A, T, B. Practice singing each part.
5. Complete a full analysis of the chorale .
(Chord names, RNA, Non-Har Tones, Cadences, Phrase structure)
6. Conduct each phrase in a RUBATO style.
7. Conduct phrases differently each time. Do not lock (program) yourself into doing it the same way. Be a musician!
8. Do not use any recording!
9. Play at the piano.
10. Submit to Edmodo a video recording of you conducting and singing the melody.
